I have been an avid concert attendee since I was 13, my first concert was a Motown powerhouse with some of the greats, the Temptations, the O’jays, and the Isley Brothers, 2nd concert the Bee Gee’s, I have lost count since then as its over 100. My next is someone who has been on my list “to see before I die” Billy Joel this July at Comerica with my son. I hope the concert happens.
Music, no matter what genre makes people happy, makes us want to dance and sing along and many times takes us back to a fond memory of a specific time or event in our lives. I was reminded of this today as I sat to write a new blog. My husband sent me a live video of another artist I enjoy. He is now doing mini concerts from his equipment shed, his home studio, etc. to lighten people’s days while shut in, worried for their immediate future and just need an uplift. He opens by thanking and dedicating the show to all the health care workers, first responders, friends and family that are supporting each other. Ladies and Gentlemen… Keith Urban

Many musicians are using Facebook, Instagram, SiriusXM and other platforms to steam events and music to bring some happiness our way. Elton John’s iHeart Living room concert radio raised over 1 million for Corona, you can see the individual artists performances on YouTube. Other musicians such as John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls did an acoustic porch concert to raise money to help local business’s in NJ. Sheryl Crow is leading ‘a mindfulness meditation” via Instagram. Lizzo also ran a group meditation to “Promote healing during this global crisis”. The list goes on, I have included a link below with more events and concerts. The Music world always unites during times of need.
