Our Squalane Light Serum consists of Squalane which is an oil derived from sugar cane plants. It is a much lighter oil than the Squalane Serum made from olives and is a highly sustainable oil. Squalane is similar to Squalene which is a fat produced naturally in our bodies. Because of the similarities between the two when applied, our skin instantly recognizes this natural form and absorbs the oil and all it’s benefits. It is non greasy and non-tacky. Besides using on your face, Squalane Light can be used all over, from the tips of your hair for smoothing ends to softening cuticles. I tried this sample as the regular squalene serum was a little too heavy and oily for me. Unfortunately, this one is still a little oiler than I care for asmy skin ranges more in the normal range and I need hydration but not saturation.
